Summary
We’re looking to hire a sales professional based in Columbia, SC to cover the Columbia area. You’ll join a talented, competitive sales team with a growth-oriented culture, selling services that clients truly value and appreciate.

About Interior Plantscapes
We are the Carolinas’ premier indoor plantscaping company, providing interior & exterior plant design, sales, leasing and maintenance to commercial clients. Every year we also deliver holiday cheer by installing beautiful holiday décor for our customers, which include corporate offices, hotels, healthcare facilities, small businesses, and more. We currently serve the Greenville, Columbia, Charleston and Charlotte areas.
Mission
The mission of the Outside Sales & Design role is to increase revenue by adding new customers, as well as growing existing accounts. You’ll carry sales goals for both plant care service and our holiday décor offerings.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Prospect for new accounts using a combination of cold calling, email prospecting, social media prospecting, referrals, in-person visits, networking, etc. You will also be assigned inbound leads that come into the office. You’ll build relationships with property managers, corporate decision-makers, facility managers, architects, interior designers, and more
- Meet with several prospective clients each week to walk their space and discuss design ideas
- Generate attractive, professional proposals/quotes for both interior & exterior plant care and holiday décor
- Set client expectations and ensure a smooth handoff to the Operations team
- Maintain an updated record of your activities and prospects in our CRM

- Experienced with technology – you’re familiar with CRM systems, Office 365, etc
Compensation Benefits
- Base salary plus uncapped commissions & quarterly annual sales bonuses. Total compensation in Year 1 should be $55k - $70k if on target

Other Information
- The ideal candidate will be based in Columbia, SC but will NOT be required to work in our office.
- Will consider both experienced candidates as well as those looking to start their career in sales
- Plant/horticulture experience is a plus, but a willingness to learn is more important!
- Candidates will be asked to provide professional references prior to job offer
