Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Coordinator to join our team. The Medical Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing various administrative tasks within a medical setting. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient appointments, ensuring timely scheduling and follow-up
- Manage medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with insurance verification and billing processes
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Process improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency
- Shipping Receiving: Oversee the shipping and receiving of medical supplies and equipment
- Inventory control: Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed
- AS400: Utilize AS400 system for data entry and record keeping
- Financial analysis: Assist with financial analysis and reporting as required
- Financial modeling: Develop financial models to support decision-making processes
- Logistics: Coordinate logistics for medical events or conferences
- Negotiate: Negotiate contracts with vendors or suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions
- E-commerce: Assist with managing e-commerce platforms for medical products
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical administrative role preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus
