What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandiser - Greater Huntsville Area position at International Wines & Craft Beer?
International Wines and Craft Beer, located in Alabaster, Alabama, is seeking candidates for a Merchandiser/Sales Representative in Training position in the Huntsville area. This is a part-time position, 20-25 hours a week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Stocking grocery and retail stores and/or bottle shops
- Building displays
- Working backstock as needed
- Resetting stores
- Providing help to retail customers/shoppers with their purchases
- Position may also include a small sales route to begin
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor/sales manager
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Possess some sales skills
- Have basic knowledge about wine/craft beer
- Have a willingness to learn/expand knowledge
- Have working knowledge of computers and MS programs to include Outlook and Excel
- Be able to communicate effectively with all business partners
- Previous sales or grocery industry experience preferred, but not required
- Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision
- Must be 21 years or older
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Able to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis
- Have reliable transportation
- A drug screen, background and DMV/Driving Record check is required
- Position is hourly; starting pay is $15/hr
- Primary hours are Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday morning 7am - 1pm
