What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at Intralox?
The Program Manager will be the key liaison across a program of new product projects within the food industry. The candidate will be able to understand, prioritize, and manage program requirements, understanding market drivers, customer needs and technical operations. To be successful in this role, the Program Manager requires a strong mix of organizational, communications and project management skills and must drive throughput and delivery of new product development projects.

Responsibilities:
- End to end ownership of the program, from ideation through release and selling
- Drive objective and timely decision-making to move programs forward and achieve objectives
- Collaborate with industry-aligned business unit managers to prioritize and sequence projects within the program
- Prepare proposals to ensure win-win-win in new programs
- Develop product vision and strategy with commercial and leadership team
- Drive new product roadmap execution in partnership with commercial representatives, and own activation and expectation setting
- Develop product vision/strategy with commercial team and ensure product roadmap will achieve vision
- Work with engineering in close collaboration to identify and apply trends and emergent capabilities to ensure product evolution
- Review competitor products and build competence about competitive landscape
- Drive and define feature, benefit, value stream in new product projects
- Align projects with resource requirement across teams
- Manage program communications across cross-functional teams (including Manufacturing, Engineering/Technical, Commercial etc.), delivering the right information to the right stakeholders at the right time
- Anticipate, mitigate and escalate program risks as well as resource constraints and conflicting priorities
- Build out clear change management protocols for successful releases
- Ensure program documentation is clear, including status updates, dashboards and documentation
- Mentor and manage project managers in consistent, best practices to effectively execute project scope
- Directly manage projects as needed
- Build necessary training for program releases, in partnership with other program managers
- Ensures that project and department milestones are met, cost is in alignment and the project scope is delivered
- Develop a toolkit for the program (Financial, Roadmap, Products etc.)
- Continually optimize and scale current processes
Requirements:
- Willingness to travel (approximately 25%)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs and Smartsheet
- Strong ability to recognize and address urgency appropriately
- Comfort with technical concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively
- Strategic mindset, including the ability to evaluate trade-offs, define successful business strategies and product roadmaps, and secure buy-in from stakeholders at all levels
- Track record of effectively facilitating efficient and productive meetings with cross-functional teams
- Ability to establish trust and foster team alignment without formal authority
- Proficiency in applying critical principles to drive positive program outcomes
- Demonstrated analytical and creative aptitude with tangible application in the workplace
- Proven experience in new product development within an R&D environment
- 5 years of experience in Project Management, Product Management, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent
Desired:
- PMP or formal Project Management training, and an understanding of Agile methodologies
- Advanced degree in a technical discipline (Math, Engineering, Science)
- Experience in the conveyor industry and/or food industry
