An Invaleon Solar Technologies Foreman plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day construction aspects of our solar projects. An ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of construction processes, safety protocols, and project management. The Foreman collaborates closely with the Project Manager, providing regular updates on job progress, identifying potential or actual issues, and addressing scheduling delays. Ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety is paramount.


A successful Foreman will adeptly handle issues as they arise, utilize available tools to find solutions, and communicate updates effectively to the Project Manager. Additionally, the Foreman is instrumental in maintaining accurate project records, sharing progress documentation promptly with the larger team. Ability to speak Spanish and/or Portuguese is extremely helpful.


The Foreman is responsible for reporting daily updates and project status to the Project Manager, and both individuals ultimately report to the Operations Manager within the organizational chain of command.

 

ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILIES

  • Supervise and coordinate on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and safety regulations.
  • Manage and lead a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and other personnel involved in the project.
  • Interpret and implement project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and high-quality work.
  • Oversee scheduling and task coordination, allocating resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Work closely with install crews to ensure solar arrays are constructed according to specifications.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks during construction, reallocating manpower as needed for optimal efficiency.
  • Receive and manage scheduled deliveries, verifying quantities and material quality.
  • Document any changes to arrays during construction and update as-builts accordingly.
  • Assist in running home runs and managing wire installations to project specifications.
  • Actively participate on-site to monitor and ensure production stays on track.
  • Maintain a clean and organized site, ensuring proper material storage to minimize disruptions.
  • Document construction progress through photos and upload them to the designated drive.
  • Ensure all on-site labor has the correct tools and safety gear for safe task performance.
  • Promptly address on-site damage, planning and executing necessary remedies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to provide project progress updates and address challenges or changes in scope.
  • Enforce and promote a strong safety culture on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring workers comply with safety protocols.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working onsite in Construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a diverse team.
  • Ability to speak Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred, but not required.
  • Solar experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address on-site challenges.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA 10 certification required.

 

COMPENSATION

  • Starting salary of $25 per hour
