Job Overview:
We are seeking a Front Desk Manager to oversee all front desk operations at our establishment. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient and smooth guest service, handle guest inquiries, and contribute to an overall positive guest experience.
Directly supervises all front office personnel and ensures proper completion of all front office duties.
Directs and coordinates the activities of the front desk, reservations, guest services, breakfast, suite shop and telephone. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates in the selection of front office personnel.
- Trains, cross trains, and retains and front office personnel in accordance with Hampton and Crown standards.
- Schedule the front office staff in accordance with budget guidelines and through the direction of the GM
- Supervises workloads during shifts. • Evaluated the job performance of each front office employees • Maintains working relationships and communicated with all departments • Maintains master and floor level key control • Verifies that accurate rooms status information in maintained and properly communicated
- Resolves guest related problems quickly, efficiently and courteously.
- Updates group information to include the maintenance and preparations of any group requirements and relays that information to appropriate personnel.
- Reviews and completed credit limit report
- Works within the allotted budget for the front office
- Received information from the previous shift manager and passes on additional details to the oncoming shift or manager.
- Checks cashiers in and out and verifies banks and deposit at the end of each shift.
- Enforces all cash handling and credit policies including incoming check policies and procedures.
- Conducts regularly schedule meetings of front office personnel.
- Conducts regular audits of Hotel standards.
- Uphold the hotels’ commitment to hospitality.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be “on call” for weekends, emergencies or for anyone who “call’s off” of a scheduled shift.
Prefer at least one (1) year of related experience with a minimum of one (1) year front desk supervisory experience • Prefer at least one (1) year of experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks
- Must have basic working knowledge of a computer including word and be able to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
- Must display very good organization and time management skills
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 20 pounds without assistance • To always maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
Skills:
- Experience in hospitality or hotel management
- Proficiency in phone systems and front desk software
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
