Sr. Scientific Director, Core Lab
Overview:
The Senior Scientific Director, Core Lab will provide direct oversight and management of the Imaging Services teams. This role will be expected to deliver scientific leadership and guidance for cross functional teams supporting all core lab activities. Will partner with business development and other key senior leadership across the organization to provide input and direction for new and emerging business opportunities. Serve as scientific leader of critical functions in Core lab; driving delivery, process improvement and innovation.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide expert contribution to technical imaging documents such as the Image Review Charter and the Technical Operations Manuals, and Study Summary Reports as needed.
- Serve Scientific SME role in support of Core lab activities.
- Support and present for Bid defense meetings and other critical sponsor meetings requiring critical scientific and operational input.
- Serve key leadership role for Clinical Services business unit.
- Provide direction to, and mentor imaging services
- Attend and present at critical scientific conferences as needed.
- Serve as key leadership for development and identification of systems requirements for Imaging Services centered systems.
- Provide critical support/input for business development (RFPs, Presentations).
- Ensure effective, accurate and timely communication/reporting across functional
- Management of Global teams supporting Core lab activities; ensuring harmonization across groups.
- Resource evaluation and planning including personnel needs and identification of technology needs/gaps.
- Support department level budgeting and P&L.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ms in relevant scientific discipline required, PhD preferred.
- Minimum of 5-10 years’ work experience in clinical research; commensurate with highest level of education
- Demonstrated knowledge of nuclear medicine PET/SPECT imaging data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills critical.
