IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.
Our client is seeking a SharePoint Systems Administrator. The position is primarily responsible for research, development, support and management of the on-premises Enterprise SharePoint Farm server infrastructure and the Enterprise O365 SharePoint online environment.
As a member of the Collaboration Services team, this position will be on a standby rotation that provides 24x7x365 support for applications supported by the Collaboration Services team. This includes on premises solutions such as SharePoint Server and Exchange Server, Electronic Faxing, and the Email Security appliances. This position is responsible for providing advanced support to agency administrators utilizing the supported technologies. In addition, the position is responsible for researching and evaluating modern technologies, for selecting those that will best meet customer needs and for introducing them into the mainstream of the computing architecture. The team is also responsible for developing specific policies, procedures, and documentation for the installation, implementation, and use of these technologies.
Tasks:
- 35% - Provide advanced technical support and direction for the Enterprise SharePoint Farm infrastructure, SharePoint Online, and the O365 SharePoint hybrid environment.
- 35% - Provide shared infrastructure consulting support:
- 10% - Demonstrate strong customer service, teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- 10% - Participate in complex IT projects to implement and maintain enterprise and agency specific server infrastructure and systems.
- 5% - Develop and follow IT service management best practices to ensure the quality of services delivered to partners.
- 5% - Continuously update technical skills, participate in the Employee Development Program, and other duties.
- Perform other assigned tasks not specifically enumerated.
NOTE: Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. Position is remote (within the State of WI) with the potential of being called to the office on short notice if needed.

Skills Required:
- 10 years - Experience administering a SharePoint environment to meet the foundational time requirement to be an administrator IV Migrating SharePoint sites
- 10 years - Experience with Version upgrades
- 10 years - Server management experience
- 10 years - Extensive PowerShell script writing experience
- 10 years - SharePoint architecture design and assess ongoing infrastructure needs Create and manage SharePoint Online governance model for multi-agency tenant space Coach agency SharePoint admins on best practices
- Knowledge of and ability to apply IT service-delivery management best practices and procedures.
- Extensive understanding of Microsoft 365 administration concepts and tools.
- Resourceful in identifying and obtaining information sources needed to perform duties effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of and ability to perform technology and product research, testing, installation, customization, troubleshooting and support.
- Extensive knowledge of hardware and software infrastructure design as it relates to integrating M365 platform solutions in a delegated and complex environment.
- Advanced knowledge of core networking and transport layer technologies, especially related to providing highly available Microsoft Teams integrations.
- Advanced knowledge of system management concepts and software.
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP application integration.
