Term: Direct Hire or Temp to Hire

Salary: $50,948 per year/$24.50 per hour

Location: Sacramento, CA

Hours: 8 am - 5 pm M-F

Client company is currently seeking detail-oriented Disability Claims Analyst to join their team. The Disability Claims Analyst, under guidance of a higher-level analyst, adjudicates the nature and severity of physical and mental impairments and evaluates applications for short-term disability benefits by applying claim standards, policies and procedures, and statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to retrieve and relay information relevant to short-term disability claims.
  • Provide exceptional customer service using professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Gather information, make sound decisions and draw appropriate conclusions using critical thinking and mathematical aptitude.
  • Utilize business acumen and technical expertise to make ethical decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment, with management/lead oversight.
  • Maintain a dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of customers.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience Providing Quality Customer Service required.
  • Disability or Workers compensation background
  • 1 year of claim experience a plus
  • Medical terminology is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional problem solving
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to maintain a high-level of quality and accuracy, while meeting productivity targets in a fast-paced environment
  • Thrives in a structured team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
  • HS Diploma/GED required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Pay: Up to $24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
