Responsibilities
MARKETING/COMMUNICATION:
- Assist with updates to the county web pages
- Manage Social Media pages
- Create promotional flyers and newsletters
- Manages distribution of news releases to media
- Promotes and markets ISU Extension & Outreach programming
- Plan, coordinate, and implement educational youth programming in collaboration with county director, CYC, and program specialists.
- Provides direct instruction of education and experience.
- Manages project budgets within the program area.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with staff and clients in the county.
- Inform supervisor of county projects and project outcomes
- Updates and informs the county staff, County Extension Council, Program Specialists, and Program Coordinator of county projects, and has a positive working relationship with staff and clients in county.
- Uses standard policies and procedures regarding county business operations and council relations
- Basic Computer Operations (PC Computer using Microsoft Office applications)
- Assists clients by phone, email, or walk-in
- Complete all system reports when due
- Assist staff with program coordination
- Create registration list, collect fees
- Secure facilities, caterers, and refreshments
- Provide any needed assistance on day of programming
- Maintain mailing lists/labels, material preparation, and follow-up for programs
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages and distribute
- Initiate, proofread and edit correspondence and news releases
- Order publications – keep files and reception area literature current
- Maintain inventory of office supplies, and initiates purchase orders
- Input MyData Information
- Facilitate registration, proctor, program hosting, and follow-up reporting for education courses
- Write a monthly summary report of office activities, trainings and accomplishments for Extension Council personnel report
- Provide information and support to occasional workers and volunteers
- Continually develop and enhance relevant skills and understand current professional standards.
- Provide leadership for the recruitment and training of volunteers to support programs.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with additional years’ experience
- Demonstrated record of establishing new programs
