What are the responsibilities and job description for the Iowa Wild - Social Media Intern position at Iowa Wild?
Our Social Media Intern will work with our Digital Media Manager to develop content and execute the strategic vision for all social media channels for the Iowa Wild. The Social Media intern will assist in creating content for all the team’s social media channels, engaging with fans, implementing social media trends, and attending team events to support coverage. This intern will be required to work events, nights and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Attend:
- Community events
- Player appearances
- Brand activation initiatives (pregame parties, etc.)
- Home games
- Create, edit, schedule, and post content to the following Iowa Wild channels:
- X
- TikTok
- Threads
- YouTube
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
- Current student majoring in marketing, communications, film/digital cinematography, creative writing or other related field, or recent college graduate with degree in one of these fields.
Knowledge & Experience
- Knowledge and experience with the following social platforms: TikTok, X, Facebook, and Instagram
- Experience capturing engaging content with camera and iPhone.
- Experience editing photo/video content, Premier Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom software preferred but not required.
- Experience utilizing social media scheduling services, Agorapulse, Sprout Social or Hootsuite preferred but not required.
- Experience working in Project Management system is a plus, Lytho preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of the sport of hockey strongly preferred.

Work Conditions
- Must be able to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays for games and events. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, knelling, twisting, lifting, grasping.
