Production Manager

Job Description

The right candidate will be managing a large injection molding operation. You will have the support of process technicians each shift. Your job will be to keep injection molding machines running effectively, efficiently, and minimize downtime. Our molding machine sizes range from 80 tons up to 3600 tons. We primarily run polypropylene and HDPE. We also use 100% regrind or reprocessed resin in multiple jobs.

This is a hands-on job and you will be expected to help the process technicians startup jobs, train them on how to properly process molding machines, and generally manage the operation.

Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

· Plan and draw up a production schedule

· Decide on and order the resources that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate

· Maintain equipment and take responsibility for its maintenance

· Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed

· Monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control programs

· Organize/help with the repair of any damaged equipment

· Communicate with different departments, teams, and companies, e.g. suppliers, managers, clients

· Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times

· Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met

· Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals

· Collate and analyze data, putting together production reports for both account managers and customers

· Supervise and motivate a team of workers

· Review worker performance and identify training needs

Other Qualifications:

· Experience injection molding processing on machines over 500 tons

· Very proficient in setting up an injection molding process

· Experience with adjusting robot programs

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
