Position Summary
The Video Futures team, is a new, dedicated "tiger team" which sits at the intersection of media strategy, investment, and analytics, focused effort on innovation and managing an increasingly complex and fragmented marketplace. The team ensures that we are making the desired progress and impact to realize total video ambition.
The Video Futures team collaborates with all crafts. They and responsible in supporting the following objectives:
ü Provide thought-leadership and education on future of Video Landscape.
ü Identify new video inventory sources, including managing and growing programmatic investments within the CTV/OTT space
ü Develop and drive innovative and performance-driven strategies across Video Upfront.
ü Collaborate on Measurement Roadmap and solutions.
ü Develop and drive learning agenda specific to video (includes meeting to review progress and learnings at a regular cadence).
ü Partner with CAM to be client lead for OTT and more broadly, video thought-leadership and audience strategy.
ü Lead to be key integrator for MAGNA, Kinesso, Video Partnerships, Analytics (and Communications Design where appropriate).
ü Participate in Weekly TMUS Investment Status.
ü Advising on the overarching audience activation approach, data usage, and tactics to drive an audience first approach to all plans.
ü Being a key support in cross channel optimization.
ü Identify opportunities for addressable activation across video (and display)
Key Responsibilities
As Associate Director, Video Futures your role entails building, scaling and elevating a holistic approach to the evolution of video execution and measurement, and supporting the team managing all deliverables for these clients. You will drive the use of analytics to make short-term and long-term investment decisions and align with all teams to ensure that best practices are being followed, and optimization tactics align to each KPI.
With a focus of programmatic video (CTV / OTT), will take the lead reviewing media plans and make suggestions based on audience segmentation, optimizations and budget shifts based on key Video Futures objectives. You will be a thought leader in how to improve the way we work as an agency with all partners - internal and external.
Key Tasks:
* Development of client-specific Industry POV's based on updates within the Video landscape
* Cooperation between Video/Digital partnerships on video campaign optimizations / new opps.
* Align closely with the Video, Programmatic, and broader Digital teams who will be implementing the plans and buys
* Manage quarterly Direct to Programmatic media buy structure within the OTT landscape, gearing towards Programmatic OTT growth goals
* Serve as the connection between overarching Video Partnerships team and Programmatic Activation specialists, with hands-on-keyboard experience as a plus
* Connection between Analytics and Partnerships, leveraging measurement opportunities to help better understand holistic video performance
* Responsible for providing actionable insights on media performance and optimizations to drive greater efficiency and results for clients across digital channels
* Collaborate with teams to deploy audience first, data driven media planning and execution
* Serve as the Initiative "voice" on status calls and deliverables / results calls with clients
Desired Skills & Experience
* Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience
* 5 years in video planning and execution
* Proven ability to make holistic, cross-channel recommendations and optimizations - from both a strategic/birds eye view to a technical implementation
* Curious self-starter, passionate about shaping the future of the advertising and media industry
* Track record of developing and presenting data driven point of views.
* Have a strong knowledge of digital marketing technologies, including: DSP, DMP, Ad Server, Ad Verification and Site Analytics
* Ability to interpret data into meaningful insights for clients on a regular basis - daily, weekly, monthly
* Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
* Strong time-management and organizational skills
* Required PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
* Proven problem solving ability
* Ability to work successfully within a team, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure
