What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director position at IPRO?
The Assistant Director joins a multi-disciplinary project team whose responsibilities include assessment, reporting, and improvement of health care quality on behalf of IPRO’s state Medicaid agency clients. The work is primarily focused on the availability, timeliness, and quality of health care services. The Assistant Director (AD) will work with department leaders, project managers, clinical staff, data analysts and report writers. Responsibilities will include planning and executing multiple activities and ensuring the quality and timeliness of a wide array of project deliverables. The AD will represent IPRO’s work to the client, managed care plans, and providers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of health care delivery systems.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the principles of continuous quality improvement.
- Excellent client management skills. Must be able to present to and meet on a regular basis with IPRO’s state clients.
- Superior analytical and writing skills, with the ability to present quantitative and qualitative data and findings—both orally and in writing—to interested parties with varying technical backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Ability to manage all aspects in the full cycle of a project and coordinate activities among multi-disciplinary team members.
- Experience with quality measurement and reporting.
- Experience in managed care with practical knowledge of managed care operations such as quality measurement, assurance and reporting, preferred.
- Works well with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel approximately up to five times per year.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in public health, health care administration, research or a related field with coursework including both management and analysis, required. Master’s degree, preferred.
- Three (3) years' experience working in managed care, health care quality assurance, or healthcare research, at least one (1) of which should be in a project managerial capacity, required.
- Experience working with health care data, required. Experience working with key performance measures and HEDIS measures, preferred.
The salary range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. The annualized salary range for this position is $100,000.00 – $120,000.00. Actual salary depends on a variety of factors including experience, education, credentials, location and budget.
The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
