The Consumer Loan Direct Processor I is responsible for funding direct consumer loans in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures. Responds to routine questions regarding Consumer Lending Department (CLD) processes and procedures.
Essential Duties:
- Fund direct loans: Credit Cards, Personal Loans and Vehicle loans escalate complex loans.
- Consistently meet loan production standards as outlined by management.
- Prepare designated loan documentation according to the policies and procedures of the Credit Union.
- Verify accuracy of loan documentation prior to funding. Work closely with branch and Lending Contact Center staff.
- Use resources including MyiQ, In-house FAQs, and other departmental procedures to research answers to questions. May recommend updates to procedures for efficiency and clarity.
- Respond to basic questions from other departments regarding direct loan applications and CLD direct processing procedures; use judgement to determine if inquiries require escalation.
- Promptly handles vehicle payoff requests. Learn to process Home Equity payoffs as needed.
- Assist in processing basic help desk requests. Escalate complex tickets.
- Contribute to conversations and team meetings in a positive and constructive manner.
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of Credit Union products and services.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of and ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures related to consumer loans. Maintain technical knowledge and awareness of federal and state laws pertaining to area of responsibility.
- Demonstrate strong regulatory knowledge applicable to this position and understand and comply with government regulations with particular emphasis on the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), US Patriot Act and related regulations.
- Actively participate and fulfill expectations in the Credit Union Email Security Awareness Program as outlined in the Information Security Program Acknowledgement document.

Experience:
A minimum of six months of similar or related experience.
Education:
A high school education or GED
