Job Overview
In this entry level Business Analyst role you’ll assist with the strategic planning and detailed analysis for selected SAP products within our CIO group. In short, this means the selected candidate will be assisting internal business units with activities pertaining to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), rollouts, enhancement requests, fit-gap analysis, implementation of regulatory / legal requirements and their relation to SAP.
To work in this capacity this role will help document and plan technology projects for select IQVIA operations products. All of which provides a scope of work that has executive visibility, offering the opportunity to impress our leadership and opening the door for career growth.
Essential Functions
- Assist in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements
- Analyze business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary under direction of experienced Business System Analysts.
- Partner with the business to explore and evaluate new ways of approaching process and problems
- Gain an understanding of how the business’s strategy and ideas translate to value and return on investment
- Assist business groups in aligning their technology strategies and help them understand how technology can connect and reinforce their goals
- Assist with defining clear roadmaps, targets, and set expectations about how IT will support strategic business objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or another related field preferred
- Knowledge of business-wide applications (e.g. third party software and internal operational applications etc.) or IQVIA client facing applications and products.
- Demonstrated ability to understand client requirements as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems and processes to enable execution of those skills.
- Ability to quickly obtain a thorough knowledge of IQVIA data and current systems.
- Experience working with SAP preferred
