Job Summary
The Sustainable Management of CO2 (SMC) Manager is responsible for the assembly, sales performance, operational excellence, vendor relations, people management, and strategic planning for Irby Electric’s SMC business. This role is designed for an extremely motivated sales leader, who’s passionate to support Irby’s company goals and objectives. This individual must possess leadership presence, customer focus and the ability to coach and retain the industry’s best talent. This role reports to the VP of Sales.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set business strategy by providing direction and scope to sales and field associates so they may successfully compete within the market, meet customer needs, gain advantage over competitors, and implement new business opportunities within our SMC business.
- Implement SMC sales strategy through selecting, training, motivating, and supporting incumbent leadership, sales force, and SMC team by setting sales revenue targets, sales revenue forecasts and sales plans.
- Provides oversight and efficiency of SMC assembly and TSLOTS cutting solutions
- Develops, strengthens, and maintains SMC Vendor relationships
- Leads collaboration with corporate service leadership and Sales Managers to drive profitable operational discipline and excellence.
- Practices consistent and effective mentoring and performance feedback with SMC team through performance reviews, employee recognition, and disciplinary action.
- Drives adoption and execution of all customer omni-channel solutions and services available through Irby Electric.
- Facilitate SMC workorders and oversee the SMC assembly room
- Provide guidance to assemblers to ensure timely processing of workorders
- Review workorder BOM’s to ensure utilization of existing Irby & SMC stock
- Review and maintain workorder component inventory
- Interface with Inside Sales regarding tagged workorders and provide updates on expected delivery dates
- Collaborate with Irby’s Marketing Department and SMC Business Leads to contribute content for the creation of promotional videos and flyers promoting our SMC workorder assembly expertise
- Update and maintain communication with Irby’s Lavergne Warehouse Manager
TSLOTS OPERATION POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as or designate a machinist to cut to length, drill, and tap TSLOTS aluminum extrusion
- Read dimensional CAD drawings and become proficient with TSLOTS’s design software
- Proactively review, release, and manage TSLOTs orders
- Manage TSLOTS extrusion and component inventory, including modification of package counts after they are broken and product lot maintenance
- Inventory and sell scrap aluminum extrusion
- Create and review TSLOTS sales orders in Eclipse as needed
- Communicate with end customers regarding delivery expectations
- Interface with TSLOTS CAD designers & Inside Sales regarding inventory inquiries and customer drawing requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude required
- Knowledge of logistics safety practices and risk management
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand on your feet most of the day.
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision and pay close attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
