JOB SUMMARY
The AP Clerk is responsible for accounts payable activities. This position requires attention to detail, timeliness, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and customer service while adhering to the standards set by the Company.
Essential Job Functions
- Prepare AP invoice vouchers and insure correct G/L coding
- Data entry skills and processes high volume of invoices for all companies within the organization.
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Interact with vendors and company personnel to resolve any issues
- Reconcile and process credit card statements
- Maintain check register for printed and voided checks
- Maintain systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal of records
- Organizes tasks and manages multiple priorities
- Maintain Accounts Payable accounts and Cash Handling procedures to company standards
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Good attitude.
- Highly motivated self-starter.
- High school education or equivalent required
- 5 years relevant work experience in the area of accounts payable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Good communication skills using spoken and written words.
- Ability to effectively organize filing systems.
- Must be able to handle stress in a healthy and professional manner.
- Has an ability to learn new technologies as necessary.
