Overview: Looking for a change in careers.? This position is daytime hours, no nights, no weekends, no major holidays. This position is available in our Mesa office. We are seeking Registered Nurses with 2 or more years of infusion experience who have a desire to work in Oncology. This is a unique opportunity to learn a new specialty through our training program. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Our ideal Registered Nurse will have at least 2 years of outpatient infusion experience.
- Our candidate will go through a 4-6 month training program to administer Chemotherapy agents and become ONS Chemotherapy certified
- Demonstrate advanced problem solving skills.
- Our Candidate must possess and be able to demonstrate compassion and professionalism dealing with patients, staff and family members.
- Must be clinically adept and possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team atmosphere.
- Must be adept with electronic medical record and comfortable working/charting or learning in an E environment.
- Must demonstrate awareness of and practice of all required PPE during the course of chemotherapy administration.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent clinical and functional skills.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong communication and team building skills a must.
- Computer skills required (Microsoft office).
- Willing to travel between office locations.
Education and Qualifications:
- Infusion experience required.
- Current CPR Certification required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Must have a current AZ Board of Nursing RN license.
- Valid Driver’s License.
