Under direct supervision of the Clinical Compliance Director, the Medical Quality and Training Specialist is responsible for supporting the Compliance and Quality Improvement initiatives at Isaiah House. This individual is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects and maintaining quality assurance functions to produce agreed upon and/or assigned deliverables in a timely manner. The Medical Quality and Training Specialist will be a presenter of trainings throughout the agency, teaching to best and evidence-based practices, regulatory requirements, and the culture and values of the agency. This position will also assist in creating and delivering quality training to medical staff based upon quality improvement strategies that inform and connect practice, training, and produce outcomes in line with agency-wide goals. Work is primarily organized and prioritized independently, using initiative and judgment in anticipating and solving problems, while working collaboratively with the team. Job Duties

  • Review clinical charts to determine appropriateness of interventions, level of care and for case-specific and/or systemic improvement strategies, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation entities.
  • Support programs across the continuum of care by providing high quality consultation and training in defined areas of need.
  • Assist manager in communicating with staff on standards and goals set forth by quality improvement and strategic efforts as needed.
  • Support Isaiah House’s use of Evidence-Based Programming throughout the agency to promote successful implementation.
  • Work with team members to develop and/or deliver quality trainings in person, via Teams, or web-based through the Paylocity Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Collaborate with team members on a variety of projects and cover team members’ duties as needed. Routine duties can include maintaining the agency’s ongoing training calendar, responding to inquiries, creating/updating instructional materials.
  • Participate in and utilize opportunities that provide professional growth through attendance at in-services and other conferences and by conducting consultation and education functions as indicated.

Requirements

  • Requires a degree in nursing and nursing license
  • Requires 1 year(s) of direct experience working with substance use disorders
  • Requires experience facilitating trainings
  • Prefer 1 year(s) quality improvement experience
