STORE MANAGER
REPORTS TO: Operations Director
Summary of Position
As a Store Manager for iSense, you will be at the forefront of our mission to revolutionize the way people think about sleep wellness. We place a strong emphasis on the quality and uniqueness of our products and are committed to building a foundation that recognizes the profound importance of a good night's sleep. In this role, you will:
Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the store and the daily activities of the sales staff engaged in promoting and selling products to ensure customer satisfaction.
Maximize sales by building high performing teams, enhancing brand image in the market, and ensuring a consistent, superior customer experience.
Develop new customer relationships and interact with existing customers to increase sales.
Attain quarterly sales and goals. Build strong partnerships with corporate and Operations Director.

Duties and Responsibilities
SALES:
· Meet individual store goals.
· Ensure that goals are being met or exceeded.
· Maintain knowledge of products and services.
· Responsible for product training for all associates.
· Deliver consistent increases in sales performance.
· Review and utilize traffic reports to appropriately complete schedules.
· Convey the importance of the iSense Customer Experience.
· Enforce superior customer service through attention to customers and development of staff.
· Recommend and execute special events.
· Maintain responsibility for ensuring all associates are trained and follow the iSense philosophy.
· Implement and manage established sales promotion policies and programs.
HUMAN RESOURCES:
· Hire the Best. Follow iSense hiring process, continuously recruit and interview candidates. Seek final approval of new hires by Operations Director.
· Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of sales associates in promoting and selling products.
· Ensure maximum effectiveness of sales associates by working with Operations Director to develop and implement a training program.
· Conduct new hire orientation for all new associates.
· Resolve performance related issues.
· Conducting performance reviews.
· Verify and approve associate’s work time for payroll processing, assuring accurate time is recorded.
· Schedule work hours, days off and holiday within iSense policy.
· Understand and maintain current knowledge of iSense benefits plan.
COMMUNICATION:
· Participate in weekly conference calls with Operations Director. Review sales results, merchandise status, fast sellers, slow sellers, deficiencies, buying trends, and payroll.
· Communicate information concerning employee relations, merchandise and operations regularly, and no less than a weekly basis, to Operations Director.
· Conduct regular staff meetings for the purpose of discussing selling skills, store sales per hour, policy implementation or changes, merchandise, name capture, conversion, etc.
· Present and discuss the weekly update.
· Diffuse customer service concerns.
· Ensure post-delivery satisfaction follow up with customer.
MERCHANDISING:
· Review sales by product line and partner with Operations Director to ensure store is merchandised appropriately to maximize sales.
· Merchandise store as directed by visual guidelines.
· Implement proper usage of interior signage.
· Ensure that all stock is well maintained and in good condition.
OPERATIONS:
· Ensure proper opening and closing of the retail store.
· Maintain appropriate records and receipts for all products sold. Ensure cash registers and money intake balance daily.
· Partner with Operations Director to review shipping reports.
· Ensure name capture is attempted at every transaction.
· Supervise and maintain accuracy of price changes, transfers and daily, weekly or monthly summaries and records.
· Ensure proper maintenance of equipment – register, computer, technology, etc.
· Maintain proper housekeeping standards.
· Maintain a secure and hazard free environment.
· Assure that all safety processes are continuously intact and conduct monthly safety reviews.
· Verify shipments are processed and accurately vouchered within 24 hours of receipt.
LOSS PREVENTION:
· Control shrinkage through loss prevention awareness training of staff.
· Monitor shipments, transfers and price changes for accuracy.
· Plan, conduct and organize store for inventory on a seasonal or as needed basis.
· Ensure accurate reconciliation of registers.
· Ensure all cameras are working properly and report any defects to Operations Director immediately.
· Work with regional or district manager and Loss Prevention to conduct internal investigations.
· Act on recommendations from Loss Prevention team regarding audit results.
