Description
ISG is excited to bolster our team with passionate Land Survey Interns out of our Mankato office this summer. Applicants should have an enthusiasm for teamwork and the outdoors. As an ISG intern, you will be among employee owners and become a valuable member of a fully integrated team, working with fellow ISGers to develop creative solutions. This role provides immense opportunities to absorb, strengthen skills, and assist team members with the development of multiple projects during various phases.
Qualifications
- Working towards an Associate’s Degree in Civil/Survey Technology, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Land Surveying, or GIS from an accredited university.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel out of town for day trips.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Ability to work 40 hours a week throughout the summer.
- Exceptional organization, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Possess an ownership mentality and hungriness for growth.
Essential Duties
- Learn, ask questions, and have fun!
- Become familiar with all of the provided survey hardware including Trimble, Lecia, Topcon, etc.
- Collet quality field survey data at an adequate speed.
- Prepare field drawings and high-quality notes of each project in the appropriate field book in accordance with company and general survey standards.
- Roll with the punches, be ready to adapt to changes, and raise your hand to help with projects and your teammates.
- Work on several projects at one time.
- Be accountable to teammates to complete assigned tasks.
