SUMMARY:
Coordinate and supervise all aspects of teller operations, including completion of daily morning work. Ensure the daily activities of the tellers are performed in a timely, accurate and courteous manner. Well versed in branch operational procedures. Good leadership skills and the ability to motivate others are necessary. Actively participates in promoting and participating in a sales and service culture consistent with the credit union’s goals by providing solutions to members’ financial needs by understanding each individual member’s situation and suggesting credit union products and services utilizing Island Federal Credit Union’s preferred way of selling. Provide working leadership and guidance to tellers through assignment of work and by providing technical guidance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervise teller staff and maintain adequate staffing.
2. Assist in the coaching, and training and the development of new and existing tellers.
3. Assist tellers in solving member problems, serving as an operational reference.
4. Lead by example, providing solutions to members’ financial needs by understanding each individual member’s situation and suggesting credit union products and services utilizing Island Federal Credit Union’s preferred way of selling.
5. Responds in a professional manner to members' inquiries, requests or problems.
6. Promote, explain, and cross-sell credit union products and services.
7. Accurate completion of daily morning work, audit logs, and end of month reporting.
8. Responsible for proof of cash vault, ATM, and coin machine.
9. Responsible for maintaining teller drawer cash within the appropriate levels.
10. Maintain an up-to-date and thorough knowledge on all credit union products and services
11. Adhere to help enforce all security procedures as well as all credit union policies and procedures.
12. Must have a thorough understanding of Shared Branching.
13. Perform routine member transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, etc.
14. Complete and pass all required BSA Training.
15. Keep all Credit Union member and employee related business in strictest confidence.
16. Assist members in opening new accounts.
17. Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
18. Accommodate flexible work schedule to meet branch needs, including evenings and weekends. Provide coverage at other locations, as needed.
19. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
1. Complete and thorough knowledge of all teller responsibilities.
2. Knowledge of all rules, regulations, guidelines, and procedures associated with position.
3. Ability to write, type and operate standard office equipment and tools, such as personal
computer, postage machine, fax machine, telephones, photocopier, typewriter.
4. Strong attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
5. Possess general knowledge of BSA rules and regulations. Complete & pass all BSA Training.
6. Ability to communicate with members, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and
professional manner.
7. Ability to cross-sell credit union products and services.
8. Ability to work with minimal supervision and to supervise others.
9. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
10. Ability to see well enough to read reports and use computer.
11. Ability to hear well enough to communicate on the phone.
12. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull and carry. Lifting/Pulling/Carrying may incur
up to 30-50 pounds on an occasional basis.
13. Driving may be required for occasional travel between Island Federal’s branches.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. High school graduate or equivalent
2. Minimum 2 years teller or similar experience.
3. Prior leadership experience preferred.
4. Prior sales experience.
5. Must possess good communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
