Retail Sales Associate/Key Holder

Island Treasure Toys is looking for part-time help from an experienced Retail Associate. Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior customer service skills, a high-energy, positive attitude and availability to work at least one weekend day. This position will be for year-round help, with hours ranging from 24-30/per week with increased hours during the summer and holiday seasons.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greeting and helping customers find the perfect items to fit their needs
• Accurate cash handling and Point of Sale transactions
• Ability to open/close the store with cash-out and lock-up responsibilities
• Supporting the Store Manager in creating a memorable and "Wow" customer experience
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store
• Following all health and safety protocols, including wearing a mask if/when required.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and requirements:

• Experience in customer-facing roles
• Professional maturity and the ability to gracefully ensure our safety guidelines are followed by customers
• Bubbling enthusiasm to serve families and their children
• Ability to think on your feet, always with a smile
• Experience using retail POS systems
• Available to flexibly work weekends (there will also be weekday shifts)
• Availability to work in multiple locations would be fabulous, but this position will be based in our Bath store at 70 Front St.
• Comfortable being on feet for duration of shifts
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs Ability to walk up and down stairs to our storage areas
• Ability to wear a mask for extended periods of time
