Job Description
The objective of this program is to provide timely, efficient, effective support to U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA), Office of Traffic Records and Analysis., and its partners, in managing the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), the Crash Reporting Sampling System (CRSS); and the Non-Traffic Surveillance program.
Applying Project Management Institute (PMI) leadership and expertise the Project Manager is responsible for resource allocation; technical and management oversight of the contract; providing high level management operations expertise; and participation in briefings and meetings. Frequently provides subject matter or functional area expertise for management of tasks in addition to fulfilling other responsibilities; formulates and enforces work standards, assigns schedules, reviews work discrepancies, supervises contractor personnel; and communicates policies, goals, and purposes of the organization. Also, serves as the onsite representative and liaison with Government on a contract for the U.S. Department of Transportation Records Based Quality Control Center.
Qualifications
- Subject Matter Expertise with U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA), Office of Traffic Records and Analysis. Experience with NHTSA's NCSA data programs consisting of records-based system: the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), the Crash Reporting Sampling System (CRSS); and the Non-Traffic Surveillance program.
- Experience leading onsite and remote (hybrid) teams to provide support for job duties.
Degree in Technical Field.
Proven statistical and analytical abilities.
Certified Program Management Professionals (PMP) preferred.
Must be able to pass required ISN and Government background checks and obtain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card.
