What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Construction Estimator position at IStaff Global Solutions?
Description of Responsibilities:
1. Pursue potential projects out to bid
2. Attend on site pre-bid meetings
3. Perform in depth review of plans and specifications for projects we intend to bid
4. Perform all duties required of a project estimator i.e. send Invitations to Bid, compare subcontractor bids, follow up with potential bidders, submit RFI’s etc.
5. Prepare labor and material costs for tasks performed in-house
6. Prepare a project budget worksheet
7. Prepare a comprehensive proposal of services containing inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, and alternates
8. Gather, review, and submit project material submittals
9. Upon start and duration of an awarded project, assist superintendent in creating and distributing RFI’s, quote adjustments, change orders etc.
Requirements:
1. At least 3 years of experience in commercial estimating required
2. Must have experience in public and private sector
3. Knowledge of unit pricing
4. Requires a strong attention to detail
5. Must be well organized, take initiative, able to multi-task and work well under tight deadlines.
6. Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal
7. Excellent blueprint reading skills required
8. Proficient in computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel
9. Site work and concrete flat work experience preferred
10. Mark Systems experience a plus
11. College degree in Business, Architecture, Construction Management, or other related discipline preferred'

Salary: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
