What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Advisor position at Istate Truck Center?

Position Responsibilities:
- Assist customers at the service counter as well as by phone and taking care of their needs using our Elite Support processes and standards. All aspects of transaction, from taking appointment to completing invoice and collecting from customer.
- Assist fellow service office employees with managing schedule and workload.
- Manage technician time and monitor repair progress for maximum efficiency.
- Work with parts department by gathering information to complete repair estimates before updating customer for approval.
- Work with outside vendors for sublet work needed on customer units.
- Assist with warranty claims at branch level and work with warranty department to ensure maximum warranty recovery with vendors.
Requirements:
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Strong problem solver with the ability to think outside of the box
- Saturday rotation working the service counter
- Open shift is 12:30PM to 9PM but flexible for the right candidate
Ideal Candidate will possess the following qualities:
- Experience in trucking industry with mechanical understanding of the products we service
- CDL driver’s license would be great but not required
