JOB SUMMARY:
Assists dealer body and field staff in resolution of warranty related claim issues. Operates within the Warranty Review Center in support of dealers. Verifies and recommends changes to Labor Time Manuals based on feedback from dealer inquiries.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Audits and analyzes warranty claim data to ensure Warranty claims information adhere to the service policy and procedure requirements. Issues inquiries for claims that do not meet the Isuzu company standards. Generates and distributes warranty reports for Isuzu management related to claim processing.
Processes dealer inquiries received through the Isuzu Communication System (ICS). Verifies Labor Time Manual to warranty tables. Verifies Warranty System Correction Requests received from dealer body, DSPM’s, and RSPM’s.
With direction from the Manager of Warranty Review, acts as liaison for all warranty department functions with respect to warranty claim authorization and payment functions. Provides national authorization and guidance as required.
Ensures dealers, field, and region are adequately notified of dealer termination and time frame for outstanding claim submission. Determines eligibility for extension of ICS support for claim reconciliation processes.
Generates and analyzes post-submission claim data to review for improvement and enhancement.
Reviews and suggests revisions to the service policies and procedures and warranty claim review policies and procedures.
Assists in review of warranty publications and training materials.
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Manager, Warranty Review
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or equivalent directly related experience with emphasis in automotive warranty
Minimum three years experience in automotive or related environment
KNOWLEDGE:
Warranty claim submission procedures
Dealership business practices and vehicle operations
Parts catalog and other service publications
Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
Automotive theory and operation
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office; Outlook and Word. Other software skills a plus
Generates reports, charts, pivot tables and use standard functions (i.e VLOOKUP, IF, etc.) in Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong organizational/time management skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to analyze a dataset and develop a statistical summary of the trends within the data.
Ability to work independently
Ability to understand and apply service policy and procedures
Ability to understand and apply dealer systems (ICS) including claims processing
PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
This is primarily a sedentary position in a controlled office environment which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports or records, typically weighing 5 lbs. or less.
Occasional travel required including possible overnight stays.
Salary : $62,200 - $78,700
