• System administration support for the cloud-based development environments or dedicated stand-alone systems identified in the program architecture
• Perform software application maintenance and backups on assigned systems running a variety of operating systems to include Linux and Windows
• AWS Cloud administration responsible for configuration, maintenance, monitoring and overall support of multiple AWS environments
• Setup, install, configure AWS Workspaces, maintain, and restore backups and snapshots
• Update system process documentation, guides, diagrams, and SOPs as needed
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance such as general computer tasks, backup/restore, application loads, disk utilization, system loading and system monitoring
• Detect, isolate, document, quickly report, and resolve system outages or problems encountered during operations of the operational system baseline, which includes collecting diagnostic data, restoring the system operation, developing workarounds, and other activities necessary for recovery of a system
• Document problems in logging and discrepancy reporting tools.
• Collect data describing the environment at the time of the failure and performs other activities in support of maintenance investigation and resolution
• Support systems integration groups as required for ongoing analysis and integration efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in STEM and 5 years of experience
• Kubernetes development/configuration
• AWS Cloud development/configuration
• Jenkins configuration/usage
• Ruby/Chef development
• Linux usage/configuration
• Scripting (BASH, SH, Python)
• Security or higher certification

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
