We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a prime contract within the Veterans Health Administration at the Department of Veterans Affairs by providing strategic program management support. These efforts will aid in developing and driving innovative care and payment models that advance high-value care and deliver holistic impact for Veterans and the Department.
The Program Manager will lead a team of consultants, analysts, and Subject Matter Experts using effective planning, directing, and delivery of artifacts to support the client’s day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall performance and quality of project deliverables completed under the contract
- Act as customer contact for project activities, leading project review sessions
- Establish milestones, monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, and identify program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
- Provide status updates on tasks as required and attend weekly status meetings.
- Responsible for completion of administrative projects, such as the compiling of reports that detail program activity, to supply client with status and progress of projects
- Develop and deliver required deliverables with a focus on quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost
- Organize, plan, and execute staffing requests with qualified resources and facilitate needed contract actions
- Communicate challenges and potential risks to the client and develop mitigation strategies
- Lead strategic working sessions, both internal and client-facing, in concert with team counterparts, using VHA subject matter expertise
- Develop effective business cases, playbooks, and strategic communications as needed.
- Ensure project team members have all required resources necessary to complete their assigned tasks, and create a cohesive, productive team environment
- Participate in project training and ensure training compliance for project team
- Organize and analyze project close-out, including review of budget vs actual of project hours
