The Store Manager will oversees retail store operations to ensure effective implementation and maintenance of programs and that the financial and operational objectives are met.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition:

  • Responsible for proactively networking/recruiting for qualified candidates to ensure proper backfill for all positions. Seek internal/external candidates with a proven ability to develop and maintain sincere, authentic relationships.
  • Selects, trains, and coaches Associates/Supervisors and ensures that policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Assesses the effectiveness of the staff by providing the appropriate level of performance feedback.

Coaching:

  • Lead, coach and motivate through positive, enthusiastic brand representation and present solutions for ongoing challenges.
  • Leads by managing through change and adversity.
  • Holds self and staff accountable for achievement of goals and metrics.
  • Holds self and staff accountable to our Core Values and coaches to the behaviors associated with them.

Selling Skills:

  • Ensures retail Indicators, Supporting KPIs and Financial Goals are achieved. (Sales, Conversion %, UPT, DPT, AUR etc.).
  • Establishes a Collaborative Selling Culture in the Store, ensures Associates/Supervisors are trained in all IT'SUGAR selling training programs.
  • Drives brand loyalty by adopting an experiential selling environment, by setting the theater in a fun and engaging way.
  • Demonstrates selling skills through explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, value and other information, builds the business through providing the ultimate consumer experience.

Customer Relations:

  • Shares information and communicates clearly too all levels internal and external.
  • Maintains the spirit of ownership by demonstrating problem solving skills to overcome obstacles and challenges.
  • Must be able to articulately convey the brand language.

Operations:

  • Ensures all operational standards are maintained.
  • Maintains store cash handling records, reports and opening and closing procedures.
  • Reviews merchandise orders and inventory levels for accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintains allocated budget within the store.
  • Ensures visual standards are appropriate and support the brand image.
  • Merchandises displays to visual guidelines.
  • Plan, coordinate and set-up for special events and promotions.
  • Maintain communication with Supervisors regarding product recommendations to increase sales/inventory.
  • Understands all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and communicates LP issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily operation of the store ensure that objectives are met - within company mission, and procedures/guidelines.
  • Makes recommendations in staffing decisions including employment, discipline, training, assignment and termination.
  • Creates a productive work environment through consistent coaching and training of all managers and associates.
  • Ensures that all practices meet applicable legal requirements, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains the spirit of ownership by demonstrating problem solving skills to overcome obstacles and challenges.
  • Evaluates daily operations on an ongoing basis and makes recommendations/initiates action to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness and profitability.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Years of Experience: 3 -5 years of Professional Level of retail
  • Must have prior sales and store management experience in a retail environment
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to use PC and operate office equipment
  • Standing: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Lifting: The employee is frequently required to walk and lift product in order to properly merchandise it. The employee must frequently, and independently, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee needs to be able to lift up to 50lbs (may be assisted with this task).
