What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at Ithaca City School District?
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Physical Therapist is responsible for developing and implementing a therapy program designed to meet student needs. Physical Therapy is provided in multiple locations.
Responsibilities are but not limited to the following:
1)Evaluation, planning programs and providing physical therapy services for students
2)Development and implementation of goals and objectives based on each student's needs, IEP or 504 accommodation plan.
3)Delivery of physical therapy services within program assignment in collaboration with parents, teachers, other school professionals, and appropriate community agencies/services.
4)Participation on school/building/program teams.
5)Engagement in Committee on Special Education meetings.
6)Provide thorough and timely reporting consistent with District procedures.
7)Implementation of various service delivery models: individual, small group, integrated-cotaught classroom, special classroom MTSS, etc.
8)Establish and maintain a daily schedule.
9)Establish and maintain professional working relationships with school professionals, parents, students, and fellow colleagues within Educational Services.
10)Attend departmental and program assignment meetings.
