Global Tire Repair is a Division of a $14B multi-industrial manufacturing company, Illinois Tool Works. They are a leading manufacturer, distributor, and marketer of tire repair solutions to global retailers and automotive OEMs Core brands include: Fix-A-Flat®, Slime®, Genuine Innovations®, and Terra-S®.
The Finance Manager will report to the Global Tire Repair Division Controller and be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department (AR, AP, General Ledger, Internal Controls), monitoring and analyzing accounting data to produce financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and internal ITW financial policies. This role will also be responsible for driving results by accurately preparing, interpreting, and communicating division financial information. This position will be based out of the Division Headquarters in San Luis Obispo, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily activities of the finance department and ensure that all major projects, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights for departments and management
- Work closely with operations team to analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing, freight, and labor to determine effects on costs.
- Set up standard cost for new products, reviewed formulas, and update standard cost for existing products.
- Perform Monthly Analysis primarily on but not limited to: material margin and variable margin analysis, sourcing savings, slow moving inventory and monitor PPV
- Be analytical, inquisitive, and crisp in explaining the story behind the numbers and have a strong ability to understand macro and micro trends and quickly discern inaccuracies
- Possess a strong competitive drive to win; balanced with the ability to work directly and through others to implement strategies and goals.
- Participate in annual business and long-range planning processes including departmental expense budgeting.
- Assist and/or lead assigned projects focusing on continuous improvement by applying key 80/20, PLS, and USa principles and techniques. Champion the use of the ITW toolbox.
- Supports enterprise initiatives of cost efficiency including cost reduction initiatives and capital projects analysis.
- Develop or re-engineer financial processes to increase efficiency and support emerging business initiatives including a leadership role in the expansion of our business intelligence reporting dashboard.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Qualified candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 4 - 7 years of relevant experience inventory/management accounting, preferably supporting a manufacturing operation/business
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Working knowledge of general ledger functions
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Robust professional communication skills
- Experience with accounting software (JDE or another full-scale software)
- Experience with utilizing reporting tools such as Power BI or Board a plus
- Manufacturing experience a plus
Additional Information

The salary range for this role is $95,000 to $133,000. Bonus based on individual and business performance with a target bonus range of 8-12% annually.
