Job Description
Primary Objective:
To provide quoting and order processing for service parts, aftermarket components, and factory service products. To process those quotes and orders in a timely fashion that adhere to MTS business strategies and in content sufficient to meet the needs of internal, external, domestic, and international customers.
Collaborates with Service Sales Specialist and Inside Account Manager in sales activities for assigned regions to help achieve volume and growth objectives.
Areas of Accountability:
- Evaluates request and assists customers and Field Service Engineers (FSE) in product selection and as appropriate recommends additional or alternative parts/services to simplify or enhance the repair or maintenance process.
- Communicates in a prompt and professional manner both orally and through appropriate written means be it letter, fax, or Email.
- Quotes price and/or delivery on repair parts, spare parts, in-house calibrations, aftermarket components, routine maintenance parts, and factory repairs including exchange and remanufacturing programs. Provides formal quotation to customer for items quoted when required.
- Assumes ownership of problems arising from differences between requested/quoted delivery and planned availability. Works with customer, FSE, salesperson, as appropriate to resolve issue quickly and efficiently.
- Determines whether incoming orders require emergency or non-emergency processing. Works with inventory and manufacturing to meet emergency requirements.
- Processes order using SAP Pick & Ship process. May also use simple project orders when required. This includes P.O. review, order confirmation, etc.
- Initiates communication with purchasing and manufacturing to establish proper costing on new part numbers. Creates or extends material numbers in SAP to facilitate Pick and Ship processing methods.
- Effectively uses corporate tools to perform job; SAP, Salesforce.com, CRM, Excel, etc.
- Performs assigned administrative responsibilities in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
- Provides feedback to Product Management on pricing issues relative to current SAP data.
- Leads assigned opportunities through the Sales Pursuit Cycle independently or in conjunction with assigned Service Sales Specialist (SSS) and Inside Account Manager (IAM). Working to achieve Sales order volume goal, Performance Based Goals/Strategic goals and Territory goals. Keeps supervisor informed of progress against targets, and any potential issues that would affect plan achievement.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- BS degree plus 3 years related experience, or Two year vo-tech certificate and 7 years relevant experience, or Eleven years relevant experience, and demonstrated technical/product aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Salesforce, SAP-CRM (or similar)
- Solid knowledge of MTS products and services.
- Basic understanding of test technologies.
