Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Market Area Project Leader is the key liaison between Hobart Service and key installation, distributors, and rep groups. This individual should have 2-4 years of experience in the commercial food equipment industry. Should have a fundamental knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and steam systems. Should have excellent customer service skills and be able to prioritize tasks. Responsible for coordinating the support of applicable trades to provide installation quotes to the sales rep group in a timely manner and to help ensure the successful installation of new equipment. Additional responsibilities may include the management of planned work schedules such as preventive maintenance or new equipment rollouts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete site visits and quotes as requested daily and or weekly independently or with the consultant of a third-party trade.
Schedule and coordinate installations between customers, office, technicians, and third-party trades.
Attend conference calls and CRM reviews for large installs to assure customers projects are progressing properly.
Review CRM to see which quotes have updated to opportunity closing soon and act on these notices.
Verify and keep record of available inventory in local warehouse
Review, approve, and submit third-party trades invoices for payment.
Communicate and coordinate site visit requests from the Customer Care group in Ohio.
Attend meetings and answer customer questions on equipment prior to a purchase.
Proactively handle all customer questions and requests.
Follow up with customer, dealers and rep groups on previous quotes and manage expected sold dates, highlighting and mitigating risk.
Back up for rep group completing quotes and site visits on an as needed basis.
Estimate and build bid requests for dealers bidding on mass scale projects or customers
Management of planned work schedules such as preventive maintenance, equipment rollouts & installation projects.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to the table:
- High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of relevant experience in sales, customer service, or equipment installations
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Project Management Professional (PNP) certification is a plus.
- Strong organizational, project management, problem solving, & influencing skills
- Experience dealing directly with customers.
- Experience in the foodservice industry.
- Knowledge of commercial food equipment.
- Knowledge of restaurant, hotel and institutional kitchen operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be comfortable to interface with multiple groups of people, develop positive relationships and partnerships.
Travel:
25-50% of time spent out of the office
