Position Objective:
Perform electrical/mechanical repairs, installation, or preventive maintenance on presses and other production equipment to achieve maximum efficiency.
Essential Functions:
1. Perform electrical/mechanical repairs for equipment on presses or as established by schedule, priority, or the Maintenance Supervisor.
2. Repair and replace electrical safety devices on all production equipment.
3. Trouble-shoot system failures on all assigned equipment.
4. Assist in the installation of production auxiliary equipment.
5. Demonstrate the ability to do repairs on presses and other equipment.
6. Design, repair, and replace brackets, guards, and other safety devices on all production equipment.
7. Perform preventive maintenance such as filter checks, gearbox lubrication, and belt checks.
8. Resolve problems through disassembly and reassembly, paying close attention to detail.
9. Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Perform other duties as directed or assigned
Qualifications:
Mandatory
- 2 years experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machine controls
- Understand relay logic and electrical schematics
- Familiarity with press mechanics and auxiliary equipment
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and lubrications
- Knowledge of electrical codes
Preferred
· Substantial electrician experience and knowledge.
- Experience with PLC’s and sensors
- Turn in electrical schematics for update
- Working knowledge of servo motors and controls
