ABOUT THE ROLE
Our clinical infusion team ensure that we continue to deliver an unmatched, high quality care experience for our patients. Registered Nurses have an integral role in the clinical operations of IVX Health, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. Each of our Infusion Centers are overseen by a board-certified local medical director who specialize in the conditions we treat, and staffed with a Nurse Practitioner and a team of Registered Nurses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest level of quality patient care
- Assess and document the health status of the patient
- Provide intake including vital signs, medication reconciliation and health history
- Prepare patients for infusion or injection
- Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and organization guidelines
- Ensure patient care is documented in the Electronic Health Record
- Demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of patient care
- Reinforce patient and family education regarding disease processes and treatment side effects
- Work closely with referring providers to handle prior authorizations, share clinical notes and communicate at all points of care
- Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies
- Keep environment clean and disinfected after each patient use
- Assist with audits and regulatory function
- Work at multiple centers / facilities within a market as needed

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Excellent IV skills (Infusion Therapy experience a plus!)
- Demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of patient care
- Committed to providing high quality, evidenced-based patient care
- Exceptional active listening skills
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with patients, providers, and coworkers
- Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA
- Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Proficiency with standard office software applications (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
REQUIRED LICENSURE & CERTIFICATION
- Associate degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license for state where practicing
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Experience in an infusion setting preferred
