Position Overview: Maü Miami is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Waiter/Head Waitress to join our team. The Head Waiter/Head Waitress will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests by providing outstanding service, managing the dining room operations, and leading the waitstaff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Assist guests in selecting food and beverages, offering recommendations and answering any questions about the menu. Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated effectively. Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests. Monitor the dining room atmosphere, seating arrangements, and table turnover, making adjustments as needed to accommodate guest preferences and optimize efficiency. Train, supervise, and mentor waitstaff, providing guidance on service standards, proper serving techniques, and customer interactions. Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, menu changes, and service expectations to the waitstaff. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining room, including tables, chairs, and service stations, to uphold Maü's high standards of presentation. Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement service protocols, policies, and procedures to enhance the guest experience and streamline operations. Assist with special events, private parties, and catering functions as needed, ensuring seamless execution and guest satisfaction. Monitor inventory levels of dining room supplies, such as linens, glassware, and tableware, and coordinate replenishment as necessary. Qualifications: Previous experience as a head waiter/head waitress or in a similar supervisory role in a high-end restaurant or hospitality establishment. Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and leading a team to deliver memorable dining experiences. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests and motivate and coach staff effectively. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wine pairings and cocktail recommendations. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
