Patient Transporter
$18 / hr
Monday - Friday (7 am - 3 : 30 pm / 8 am - 4 pm)
3 month contract with potential for extension or hire based on performance and company needs)
Job Description :
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Patient Transporters / Orderlies. This position requires a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities :
Patient Movement : Safely transport patients throughout the hospital, including to and from tests, procedures, and discharge points.
Use wheelchairs or beds as appropriate.
- Discharge Assistance : Respond promptly to discharge requests, ensuring patients are transported to the front door or designated pick-up area.
- Chart Delivery : Efficiently deliver patient charts and records to the appropriate floors or departments.
- Rotating Schedule : Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend and holiday shifts.
Requirements :
- 1 years of experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred, or education in the healthcare field
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing wheelchairs or beds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and professional demeanor
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
