GENERAL PURPOSE

This position’s main objective is to focus on the engagement strategy by harnessing data to increase conversion through JHMR’s email marketing, SMS, in-app push notifications and other guest engagement platforms. The Marketing Automation Coordinator is responsible the execution of the company email and SMS plan as well as the comprehensive analysis of data and industry trends.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSGuest Segmentation

Ensure targeted guest messaging shares a consistent voice and presentation specific to each segment.Utilize data to continuously improve processes, messaging, and outcomes.Work internally and with technology vendors to ensure accurate data-capture and segmentation.

Email Marketing

Design emails using Adobe Dreamweaver.Develop and maintain a regular cadence of outreach to our primary audience segments.Tailor email content to specifically suit each segment to drive engagement and revenue.Analyze eCommerce and email-related data metrics and reports to determine effectiveness of email marketing campaigns and constantly strive to improve.Develop and maintain all automated email campaigns.Work with internal stakeholders to create emails that accurately reflect their communication needs.Master the use of Inntopia Marketing Cloud and Acoustic platforms.Collaborate with Inntopia peers to accomplish any messaging goals.Stay current on industry trends for marketing subject matter.Manage relationships with external agencies and partners to effectively execute common goals and maintain successful partnerships.Develop messaging templates designed to drive increased engagement for all segments and encourage progression through the customer lifecycle.

SMS Marketing

Grow SMS database.Develop and maintain strategy for engagement with guests.Leverage our SMS platform’s functions to accomplish outreach goals.

JH Insider App Push Notifications

Understand audience segmentation within the app & plan best cadence for email/SMS/push.Increase promotional push frequency.Coordinate automated pushes for app users.

CRM Database

Develop and execute plans to grow and nurture a strong and engaged email database.Ensure all internal software solutions are synchronized and data is current and accessible.

Other Functions

Must have the ability to work with other marketing department team members to achieve key business objectivesForm cross-functional relationships with constituent functions.Manage relationships with external agencies and partners to effectively execute common goals and maintain successful partnerships.Must be able to thrive within a fast-paced, team–oriented office environment.-- Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job—

Job Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:

Previous experience in a professional marketing capacity, email marketing and CRM management highly preferred.Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills and an ability to work with competing priorities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience working in cross-functional teams including sales, events, and product development.Familiarity with resort industry concepts, practices, and procedures.Data analysis experience preferred.Strong copywriting skills in addition to a creative vision for emails.EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING

Bachelor’s DegreeEXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 years working in email marketing or related field.Must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand key business initiatives and be able to design and execute effective email campaigns that achieve desired goals.Must have data analysis experience.MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

This job operates in a clerical office setting and on mountain. This role routinely uses computer and phone. Work is completed in an indoor environment plus on a variety of activities including skis, bikes, hiking, and running. Outdoor environment may cause exposure to extreme temperatures and varying weather.

Physical Demands

Ability to sit for long periods of time at a desk and working on a computer.Occasional on-mountain skiing/snowboarding and hiking for work related tasks.Occasional walking, moving about on foot to attend events.Extensive use of fingers to type and perform other computer work.Hearing and ability to receive detailed information through oral communication at normal speaking level.Close visual acuity to work on the computer, analyzing figures.Ability to drive a motor vehicle in varying weather and road conditions.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This job is year-round full time and typically works during daytime business hours. Schedules and hours may fluctuate depending on business need, and overtime should be expected around season openings and deadlines. Work on weekends and holidays may be required.
