Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Floor Manager to join our team. The Floor Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our dining room, ensuring that our guests receive the exceptional service and dining experience they have come to expect.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the team of servers, server assistants, and other guest-facing dining room attendants, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
- Have a knowledge of our budgeted goals and maintain labor, comps, sales, and linen goals.
- Ensure that all staff provide efficient, friendly, and professional service to our guests.
- Conduct regular table visits to engage with guests, gather feedback, and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Perform table audits to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service.
- Assist staff in resolving guest complaints and finding solutions to ensure their satisfaction.
- Monitor and manage inventory of beer, wine, and liquor, and assist with the ordering of supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination between all departments.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in staff hiring, training, and scheduling, as needed.
- Continuously work to improve the overall guest experience and drive repeat business.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant management role, preferably in an upscale casual dining setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment.
- A deep understanding of restaurant operations, including food and beverage management, inventory control, and staff management.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and fostering a positive guest experience.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
