Your Impact:
When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow. We’re looking for a Scientist/Geologist/Engineer to work on site characterization and remediation projects for government and private-sector clients.
Based in Anchorage or Fairbanks you’ll work with other scientists, engineers, and project managers on exciting projects in which you will pass your knowledge and expertise to others. You’ll work both in the field and office overseeing soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling as well as drilling and subcontractor oversight. Responsibilities may include interpretation and visualization, quantitative modeling, report writing, proposal and cost estimate preparation, procurement of subcontractors, financials including invoicing to clients, staff mentorship and leadership, client relationship building, agency correspondence, and coordinating logistics for field activities. Here’s What You’ll Need:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geology or hydrogeology or related field
- Professional experience with various media (e.g., soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water, and sediment) investigations, data assessments and evaluations, remediation technologies, groundwater supply well, past and current client relationships, agency correspondence, some financial experience and proposal preparation, and a hydrogeologic emphasis
- Professional experience in field work methodology and procedures used in the environmental industry
- 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification
- Professional registration is highly recommended
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- Strong writing and communication skills
- HAZWOPER and/or MSHA work experience
- Remediation, Operations & Maintenance experience and/or interest
- Electronic Data Management for environmental applications, and/or database design & administration experience
- Ability to interact and communicate successfully with co-workers, clients and regulatory agencies
- CERCLA, RCRA, MMRP project experience and/or interest
- Professional experience in the environmental field and working knowledge of federal and State environmental regulations
