Based in Philadelphia, you will have the chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects and utilize your highway/roadway design expertise learned at school and working on transportation related projects. You’ll work with a group of Engineers and Project Managers in the business. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living.
Using your experience, you’ll be responsible for:
• Prepare roadway and highway designs using cad and modeling software.
• Develop plans, prepare technical specifications, develop quantities and estimates, complete peer reviews, and compile design documentation.
• Coordinate with design discipline leads.
• Promote Jacobs quality control practices through all phases of design and plans production.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation focused preferred)
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in transportation engineering with an emphasis on highway engineering projects
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (Microstation/Inroads and AutoCAD/Civil 3D)
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Professional Engineer License (PE)
• Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) project experience
