As a Software Back End Developer in our Solutions and Technology organization, you will be using your creative genius to help solve our client’s shared challenges through technology-enabled solutions. You will work with global industry leaders and solution architects within Jacobs, alongside our global clients, to conceptualize, create, and build market-leading software to boldly change industries!
Daily life will consist of working on a globally remote team, which includes engineers, project managers, along with other developers. Expect a flexible schedule, a wide breadth of technical work, virtual scrums for daily collaboration, and continual challenges!

Here’s What You’ll Need:- Proficiency in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
- Familiarity using Node.js and npm to manage JavaScript packages during application development
- Familiarity with integrating a database (either SQL or NoSQL) as part of an application
- Familiarity using REST APIs
- Familiarity with some of these tools: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, WebStorm, Azure Data Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, MongoDB Compass
- Experience with Agile methodologies, source control systems (i.e., GIT), and DevOps CI/CD
And if you have any of the following additional technical skills, even better:
- Experience with a JavaScript frontend framework (ReactJS, AngularJS, Vue.js, Backbone.js, etc.)
- Familiarity using a JavaScript UI framework (Material-UI, Bootstrap, etc.)
- Familiarity developing REST APIs (C#, Python, etc.)
- Familiarity with both relational (SQL, e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgresSQL, etc.) and NoSQL, e.g., Cosmos DB, MongoDB) database design (and how to integrate into an application
- Familiarity with Azure/AWS and serverless backends

Typical salary range for this position is $76,800 to $134,400, and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
