The Underwater Launch Test Capability (ULTC) contract supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), in Crane, IN. We maintain the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, honesty and fairness in our relationships with our customers, suppliers, subcontractors and professional associates.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Required Education and Experience: Seeking a Logistics technician to support the Navy ULTC team at Crane, IN. The candidate will assist in driving continuous improvement initiatives within the associated facility including document preparation and coordination required to correctly process inbound consolidations in a cost-efficient manner and within defined standards. The candidate will develop and provide excellent service to internal and external customers. Position requires good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines. An understanding of the needs of the organization serviced and analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications: The successful candidate will be able to ensure the distribution, storage, delivery, and inspection of incoming and outgoing products.
The skill set required includes an ability to track parts in established database/excel
inventory management (procurement, receipt, tracking, issue, inventory control) and to handle those materials on receipt, in storage with control, and in issuance to the shop floor. Strength in excel and/or ERP database-like structures is needed. Will actively seek new opportunities for continuous improvement that supports the improvement of the overall service level, compliance and cost reduction. Coordinate with shippers and Team Leads for the pick-up of packages, take and maintain up to date inventory for various brands, keep inventory of supplies, be proactive and efficient with your time and be attentive to details and organization.
Additionally, strengths in managing and administrating data records is desired such as:
• Validating that data meets certain naming, quality, and content criteria (to be established from existing, yet somewhat fluid [not yet fully defined, nor formally approved] functioning
processes).
• Storing data in accordance with the developed process.
• Ensuring data integrity is retained in defined inventory location.
• Validating organization and re-organizing data and assembling data packages.
• Issuing data packages.
