As a MEP Inspector at our client’s site in Manhattan, NY, you’ll monitor and inspect materials and to make recommendations to changes in procedures to senior staff. You’ll provide direction to the team regarding quality, safety, and general day to day operations, and challenge yourself by reviewing and resolving technical problems, ensuring compliance on inspections and helping field staff to ensure all quality inspections are complete. Utilizing your expertise, you’ll perform all aspects of mechanical and electrical inspections to include all reporting, providing communication to the project team and ensuring the requirements of the project are successfully met.

Here’s What You’ll Need:- High School diploma
- 5 years of Mechanical inspection experience on large-scale construction/renovation projects
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings pertaining to mechanical trade
- Ability to gather and understand technical data for purposes of generating technical reports
- Experience with applicable codes
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Knowledge of construction practices and principles
- Strong communications skills and a collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractors
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Technical school graduate or Bachelor degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 5 years Electrical Inspection experience
- Prior experience with an Engineering or Construction firm
- Ability to read electronic scheduling tools such as P6
- Ability to work effectively on a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
