Your Impact:
The candidate is responsible for the creation, ordering, and maintaining local services that allow for the reliable, secure, rapid delivery of leased lines, and Internet services to support mission needs. Provides support in the translation of business requirements into local service orders.
Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities
- Order POTS, BRI, PRI, DS-3, OC, Internet, Long Distance, and MetroE lines
- Coordinate installation, cost quotes, and disconnection efforts with nationwide telephone companies
- Maintain circuit database (Phonbill) with accurate information so the services can be ordered and maintained
- Coordinate visitor access requests and escort uncleared installers, if needed
- Provide accurate information to the billing team and track payment to vendors
- Develop and maintain local service documentation
- Work closely with network engineers to plan and implement local service requirements and configurations in supporting Mission requirement within WMA
- Provide assistance to operations center for circuit call out
- Occasional travel may be required
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check and DOT Physical
- Must be willing to travel as needed
- Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint)
- Basic to intermediate level of knowledge of telephony and Internet service
- Over 6 years of experience in telecommunications technology preferred
- Experience with circuit procurement and/or installation
- Understand and implement established technical and workflow procedures
- Self-starter who works well in a high performing team environment with good critical thinking skills

- Experience with government networks and secure communications
- Experience with telephone equipment
- Experience with IP network technology
