We are seeking a Senior Electrocal Engineer for our Miami, FL office! Join us in solving the most complex electrical systems issues for our clients. You’ll nurture and maintain strong client relationships in and for execution of projects, and as appropriate, support specific sales, proposal, and project efforts. This position is remote for the entire state of Florida but preferred location is Miami.
You will perform a wide range of skills as part of an integrated design building services provider. Our skills include power system planning, power distribution, lighting design, fire and life safety systems, vertical transportation and construction coordination.
Principal Duties and Responsibilties:
- Design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls
- Prepare load analysis for different stages of design
- Prepare drawings detailing the system designed
- Prepare basis of design reports
- Prepare and document Energy compliance calculations and forms
- Select equipment and fixtures for use in the building
- Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects
As a strategic member of our design team, be ready to interact directly with the client, owner, and contractors to establish design requirements and produce construction documents. Vertical building and infrastructure project types can include commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, and transportation sectors.

- Bachelors’ of Science Degree in Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in FL
- Demonstrated professional design experience of electrical systems for vertical buildings in Florida.
- Solid knowledge and application of the electrical requirements per NFPA 70, 70E, 72, 101, 110, building codes, energy codes, and other related standards such as IEEE and ASHRAE standards
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- Extensive knowledge of Short Circuit Coordination Studies and Arc Flash Analysis utilizing SKM or Easy Power
- Working knowledge of MicroStation, Auto Desk CAD, Revit or BIM software
- Knowledge of Telecommunications, Fire Alarm, and/or Security systems
