We are looking for an experienced and customer service oriented Store Manager to join our team at our JAK W lifestyle shop and furniture showroom spaces, just off of the Downtown Sonoma square.

Must be enthusiastic, independent, friendly, intrinsically helpful, detail-oriented, outgoing, reliable, love people, and sustainable design. Also must be comfortable speaking with customers and working in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Job Description

This role will be responsible for the following:

Shop/Showroom duties

Including, but not limited to:

• Hire, train and supervise staff for the store and showroom.
• Create store and showroom schedules to ensure adequate and fair coverage is maintained at all times.
• Create Standard Operating Procedures for store staff duties.
• Be available for last minute no shows, sick calls and special events.
• Ensure all store operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
• Inventory receiving & shipment.
• Execute all RTVs, orders, transfers, re-tickets or mark downs efficiently.
• Ensure the store is fully stocked at all times. Replenish the Sonoma Shop & Showroom by physically and online transferring merchandise as needed
• Ensure all merchandise complies with all company ticketing and signage guidelines.
• Educate and coach the sales team on all processes and procedures
• Find ways to increase quality of customer service
• Maintain a neat and orderly store and showroom, including the stockroom and employee areas
• Assist on the Sales Floor, the Showroom, and in the warehouse as needed.
• Assist with set up and breakdown of all JAK W events.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Create standards for shipping products and wrapping gifts & ensure we have the correct packaging in stock at all times.
• Train staff on new products on store & promotions.
• Develop SPIFFs, competitions & incentives.
• Communicate with vendors on staff training, promotions and sales.

Warehouse Duties:

Including, but not limited to:

• Develop process for receiving inventory at warehouse, fulfilling orders and transferring stock to brick and mortar outlets.
• Process all incoming/outbound inventory with accuracy, and verify all merchandise deliveries are compliant and accurate to Company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness at the warehouse.

General Duties:

Including, but not limited to:

• Organize and supervise Repairs & Maintenance of all JAK W locations
• Ensure all locations are fully stocked with office and cleaning supplies, request any items needed to the Director of Supply Chain
• Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
• Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
• Formulate strategic and operational objectives
• Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
• Ensure we are meeting sales goals and forecast staffing for seasonal needs & special events.
• Perform quality control on incoming and outgoing products.
• Respond to daily tasks and maintenance issues as is necessary to create a positive, compliant and functional working environment for the team.
• Demonstrate high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, employees, corporate partners and vendors.
• Attend monthly meetings with the executive team to ensure communication is clear regarding company policies and procedures within the Store and Showroom and to report sales progress and trends.
• Deposit checks and cash at the bank.
• Make new keys.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
