Major Responsibilities:
Sales Assistant responsibilities include providing excellent levels of service, support and communication to retail customers, in house wholesale customers, Jala Wholesale Representatives and Jala Sales Team. The position requires the candidate learn the functions of Sales Representative including but not limited to knowing products and product details, the sales process and production cycles and inventory status. Must possess superior communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Production team, Sales team and Sales Representatives and Operations team, to support wholesale customer and retail customers sales & needs.
- Assist Sales Representative by reviewing all purchase orders for accuracy and completeness and entering purchase orders into system.
- Manage retail and wholesale orders in Shopify including monitoring and expediting orders as required.
- Communicate with customers and Sales Representatives and Sales team on status of shipments and orders.
- Assist in the organizing of sales prep materials including competitive research, cold calling and scheduling appointments.
- Review and process applications for wholesale accounts.
- Perform various clerical duties as needed including entering and reviewing customer information and account information, identifying and obtaining missing information, monitoring inventory and production schedules and product status.
- Resolve issues on orders, customers and products and obtain information as needed.
- Help customers with questions regarding Jala, products, the retail and wholesale program, their retail and wholesale account and their orders.
- Gather data and provide reports and spreadsheets as requested.
- Project work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills & experience.
- Must be extremely detailed and accurate.
- Must have the ability to follow through and see tasks to completion with minimal supervision. Must be a team player.
- Computer experience with Shopify, E-Commerce platforms, Microsoft Word and Excel are a must. Must be able to quickly learn and become proficient with new software programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, with self-paced organizational skills.
- Experience and knowledge in fashion/apparel industry preferred.
- Must be punctual, with positive attitude & strong work ethic.
Job Type: 30-40 hours per week

Pay and Benefits
- $18 an hour to start.
- Reimbursement up to $100 a month towards health insurance premiums.
- 3 days paid vacation after 90 days. 5 days paid vacation at 1 year.
- 3 days paid sick leave after 90 days.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
